Description

Surely showing the tree all the time is only useful for drag and drop, which is a minor activity compared to the whole editing process. Perhaps all the properties of the elements (the property inspector) should also be in a separate right-click Properties popup dialog, to make the UI simpler. There are far too many UI elements on screen at once (so many toolbar buttons, inputs for the property inspector, tree for the DTD, plus all the elements and "corner tabs" they have in the document).

VK: in 4/1 it already implemented: these windows are dockable and can be moved out of main window and arranged to 2nd monitor if so. We need to think what we can do more and what is the default behavior as well.

Practically, we can make such Eclipse-feel: auto-hide of tree and inspector, but leaving only buttons to arrive them back.

This way have one disadvantage: drag and drop might not be used and this feature really improves speed of layout creation.

Now tree and inspector has tool bars and buttons to manage docking / hiding
